WHAT HAPPENED?
Wrexham leapfrogged Wycombe to reclaim second place in League One as they edged out Blackpool 2-1 on Monday. James McClean broke the deadlock just past the hour mark and Oliver Rathbone extended the lead shortly afterwards. Rob Aptor scored a late goal for the hosts, but the Red Dragons eventually walked away with three points.

As the Welsh club took a step forward to secure a third consecutive direct promotion to the Championship, the travelling fans at Bloomfield Road were joined by club co-owner McElhenney. The Hollywood actor was spotted clicking photographs with the Wrexham supporters and cheering for his team from the away stand.
